OUR STORY
A nuclear engineer who decided the most important infrastructure to build was people.
Daraja — meaning "bridge" in Swahili — was born from a simple conviction: that engineering thinking and entrepreneurial ambition belong in the same room. Founded by Stacyann Russell, Daraja Collective exists to build the connective tissue between great ideas and sustainable businesses.
We work with economic developers, global trade bodies, and innovation organizations to design the founder ecosystems their regions need — and that founders deserve. We don't just train founders. We build the conditions where founders can actually win.

THE FOUNDER
Stacyann Russell started her career as a nuclear engineer. She spent over a decade working across automotive, aerospace, defense, communications, and energy — learning how systems work, how organizations fail, and how to build things that last.
Then she turned that same thinking toward the problem she cared about most: how do we build the infrastructure that helps people turn great ideas into real companies? That question became Daraja Collective. Today Stacyann serves as a Global Executive for the Government of Canada and leads Daraja's work across the US and internationally — bringing the same systems thinking that powered her engineering career to the challenge of building ecosystems that actually work.
